Institute expands Musculoskeletal program
The Institute’s musculoskeletal program will be expanding heavily into evidence-based physiotherapy with the arrival of a new team of staff, headed by Professor Chris Maher. The group will join the Institute’s current Musculoskeletal program in April to form a new research division under Professor Maher’s direction.
The group conduct and promote research that evaluates current and potential physiotherapy practices. Their experience in clinical trials of therapies and implementation strategies, systematic reviews and methodological research will greatly strengthen the Institute’s capabilities in musculoskeletal research.
