Professor WU Yangfeng is Director of The George Institute, China

The George Institute is headed by two Principal Directors (Professor Stephen MacMahon and Professor Robyn Norton) who are responsible to the Board of Directors for the activities of the Institute.

The Institute is formally associated with the University of Sydney and the Sydney South West Area Health Service (SSWAHS) through memoranda of understanding.

The George Institute has seven distinct research Divisions:

The Institute's fundraising body is The George Foundation and it also has four operational units, including a Centre for Research Management.

The Senior Executive Group oversees the management of the Institute.

The Institute has operations in China and India, each of which replicates the Institute structure.
